Privacy and cookies
This site uses cookies. These are small files that are placed on your computer to help the site remember information from one page to another. Most big sites do this too.
The cookies set by this site can't be used to identify you personally. They're just here to help make the site work better.
You can manage or delete cookies using your web browser - you can find out how at AboutCookies.org.
My privacy policy
Collecting information
This site only collects information that is absolutely essential to the running of site. This includes anonymous analytics and information you've entered into forms when contacting me or leaving a comment.
Some parts of the site use services from other places such as Twitter or YouTube. Where I can, I'll let you know in advance that these services will be used so you can avoid them if you want.
Asking permission
Where I can, I will ask permission before activating a service or storing any information on your computer using cookies (or related tech).
Unfortunately, in some cases the technology platform the site runs from won't let me do this. For example Wordpress uses session based cookies (those that disappear when you close your browser) by default when you leave a comment.
Google Analytics
I use Google Analytics to collect anonymous information about how people use this site. Google Analytics stores information about what pages you visit, how long you are on the site, how you got here and what you click on. I do not collect or store your personal information (e.g. your name or address) so this information cannot be used to identify who you are. I do not allow Google to use or share my analytics data.
If you really don't want Google Analytics to see your visits to this (or any other website), go take a look at this useful browser add-on provided by Google.
